The Emergency First Responder (EFR) program teaches first aid techniques that are relevant in all fields of life, not just scuba diving.
You DO NOT need to be a diver to enroll on any EFR First Aid course.
The average course lasts between 4-6 hours and be covered in an evening or over a day depending on numbers. We cover CPR, artificial ventilation, injury assessment, and a host of other skills that could be vital in an emergency. Above all else, it aims to instill confidence and self belief in those who take it, ensuring that they are able to help another person when it matters the most.
This course would qualify a person to be recognised as a "Nominated First Aider" at their place of work under HSE guidelines
